RELIGION AND EROTICISM

The confluence of three rivers namely Wainganga, Kanhan and Amba at Ambhora create an awe inspiring majesty and is also considered holy in Hinduism. An ancient Shiva Temple on the confluence attracts thousands of devotees on specific festivals. Markanda, also known as the Khajuraho of central India, has a cluster of 18 temples with exquisite carvings of celestial nymphs and erotic figures.
